1) How can I join the Chicago Furniture Designers Association?
    Go to the Membership Section of website.

2) Where can I find information on apprenticeships?
     There are a wide variety of apprenticeship programs available through members of the CFDA. They range from formal year long internships to shorter summer/semester work programs.

3) What kind of furniture is available for sale through the CFDA?
    The CFDA is made up of a group of individual to small furniture companies. Each has their own style, materials and price range. Most members make studio type furniture -  which is defined as high end, high design. Most members do not mass produce, but  rather make short runs or one-off pieces. To find out more please look at the individual member profiles located in the scroll bar bloew, or by name on the designer page.

 




4) When and where are the CFDA shows?
    The CFDA hosts a minimum of four shows per year. The dates will be announced in the events section of this web site as soon as we know specific dates.

5) Where can I find the origin or history of a piece of furniture?
    The CFDA does not keep a history of furniture. Your best bet is your local historical society, or public library.

6) Where can I find schools that have furniture related curriculums? (click on the school to link to their website)
