Jonas Wahlstrom

I am always searching to find the truth in my pieces by peeling away diffusing layers to reveal raw form while still honoring the aesthetic and function of furniture.  This space in the continuum of design - borne of simplicity and honesty - is a difficult to occupy and drives me to keep learning and stretching my understanding of form.   As a furniture designer, I have a responsibility not only to the user but also to the environment so I seek materials that are sustainable and environmentally responsible.

Norden Buffet

Norden Buffet is a simple and elegant design reminiscent of the Scandinavian fifties design. This piece is constructed out of bamboo and concrete.

Oasis Bench

The Oasis Bench was developed for a CFDA show at IIT in Chicago combining architectural building materials with organic life.

Insatt Side Tables

Insatt side tables are designed as a basic form that can evolve into a wide range of furniture pieces by stretching or compacting the individual rectangular shapes and/or adding drawer(s).   Constructed out of natural and oriented strand board (OSB) bamboo.
