Natof Furniture
S. Lloyd
Natof established SL Natof Furniture in 1989 as a custom
woodworking design and fabrication shop. The shop’s work has
included residential furniture, corporate office suites,
liturgical furniture and retail fixtures. In addition to
custom commissions, SL Natof provides high-end fabrication
work for Chicago architects and designers. 2003 saw the
creation of the J-line collection: furniture designed with
clean simple lines and built with highly figured, beautifully
finished woods.
Lloyd
specializes in veneered freestanding casework.
‘I am
looking for ways to bring Art Nouveau sensibilities to more
modern forms. The dramatic elegance of Art Nouveau curves,
materials and finishes has long appealed to me; these elements
nicely compliment modern forms.’
