John Sirovatka - looking for recomendations for a local commercial finisher.

John Kriegshauser - I have 16 gallons of clear satin lacquer, 16 of sanding sealer and an equivalent supply of thinner.  I am losing my ability to store this material, so I'm willing to sell it at a sacrifice price.  Contact John Kriegshauser at 312-567-3259 or kriegshauser@iit.edu.

- Meeting/Program Schedule  (John Kriegshauser)

March 14        Tor Faegre: CRISS-CROSS: An Old Technique Still Useful Today.

An ancient construction technique using lattice work is found worldwide in the Indian stool (mudha), the Mexican chair (equipale) and the Central Asian felt tent (yurt). This method builds strength into thin wood, reed or bamboo, and is used in contemporary furniture as well.  A slide presentation from trips to India and Mexico will illustrate the discussion of this technique.
