- Meeting/Program Schedule (John Kriegshauser)
April 11 Presentation and Critique: Bring in some pictures, drawings or examples. This is a chance for members to share their furniture designs with their peers and receive some intelligent reactions. In a nutshell this is what the CFDA is all about! Show and Tell or Critique or Professional Peer Review or whatever you want to call it. Bring whatever you are working on, tell people about it and get some honest reaction. I will be bringing an actual chair, but others may want to bring images of various kinds. If you will need a slide projector or a data projector, please let me know. I can bring either or both of these projectors, but only if someone requests me to do so.

Meeting called to order 6:50 PM
Discussion on how to get this type of press. -Let them know you exist and what you do. -This typically results in increased business.
Next month is show and tell -John K. will send out and e-mail of what to bring. (actual items, CD’s or slides)
Gallery Space -Aesthetic Guide is the name of the space. -1520 West Chicago Ave. -Chicago. -180 Sq. ft -20’ X 18’ room, ½ for use. - Basement storage space can be utilized for storage of many CFDA items stored in many different places. -How can room be utilized and still allow for traffic patterns remains a question. -Chris looked at the space last week. -Small signage out side may be okay. -Credit card thru the stores existing system needs to be checked with the owners account. -How to staff? CFDA members would be encouraged to be there but the proprietors seemed okay with covering the hours. -Possibly 2 or 3 artists could display at a time for a few months at a time. There Would be incentive for those artists to staff the store to sell themselves. -More discussion at the next meeting.
Contacts from Design Within Reach Show. -Several potential contacts for new members from a show like that.
