- Meeting/Program Schedule  (John Kriegshauser)

April 12-Bill First, who's day job is teaching photography at Columbia College, will talk about photographing furniture and building a portfolio in the age of digital photography. I hired Bill recently to photograph one of my pieces, and I was astonished at how different the process was when using a digital camera. Also, many of us have new work that needs to be documented. Don't let this opportunity slip by!

May 10-The Sustainable Furniture Show will be opening at the end of the month. Let's use this meeting to organize the show set up and address the invitations.

June 14-Where do design ideas come from? We will put together a panel discussion with visual aids to compare where we get our ideas, and how we develop them.

Guest Speaker

Evan Lewis-

Evan began as a cabinet maker and then began experimenting with metal. Evan prepared a great presentation with many slides. The most notable was the "kinetic" sculpture pieces. Evan described "kinetic" sculpture as outdoor / indoor sculpture that moves. Some of Evan's kinetic sculpture pieces would move from the wind.
Evan's presentation had a range from very small sculptures (table top) to very large 50 ft + sculptures. The presentation was very informative with many slides and a wide range of work. The CFDA would like to thank Evan for his wonderful slide presentation.
