Will you
have a piece in the show?

| Will You Have a Piece in the Show?
Can you afford not to? The Sustainable Furniture Show will run from late May, through June and July at the Chicago Cultural Center. At this prime location, across the street from Millennium Park, over 10,000 people will likely see the show. We expect to have the show covered in local and national media. Participating will initiate you into the most significant design trend of our time. This will be the biggest thing that the CFDA has ever done. We will need 50 to 60 pieces to fill the gallery. Before we start soliciting pieces from people outside the organization, current members should exercise first claim on the space. Each piece will have to exhibit some feature of sustainable design, and it will have to be accompanied by a one or two page statement explaining why you consider your piece sustainable. Do not delay. If you plan to have one or more pieces in the show, speak up now. E-mail John Kriegshauser at kriegshauser@iit.edu. If you know what your piece will be, say so, and describe it as much as you can. This information will be important for space planning in the gallery. There will be a fee for exhibiting in the show to cover costs, which will likely run between $50 to $100 per piece. In order to prepare advance publicity will need several pieces in late January for photographs. If your piece is ready then, it could serve as the photo icon of the show! There is no time to waste. Opportunity is knocking. |
