Each piece is created with contrast of materials and texture, shape and form, idea and execution. The contrasts work with each piece to form an elusive union between functionality and beauty. That union produces an energy of movement, a back and forth visual conversation that commands attention. Each element takes a modest bow to the other, creating a proud partnership. This interaction is what I try to incorporate at the heart of every piece. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I moved to Detroit at the age of 17 to study Industrial Design at the College for Creative Studies. Detroit's tumultuous industrial landscape offered unlimited inspiration. The cultural contrast that I experience helped shape my design philosophy-- one where simple and utilitarian beauty exists in a mélange of cultural and material design elements.
